Built as a full-rim rectangular shape, the MARC 588/S uses cellulose acetate. The fit is cut for adult men. At 53-21-145, the lens measures 53 mm, the bridge 21 mm and the temples 145 mm. The straight top and bottom lines cut against a rounder face.
A full rim holds the lens on all four sides. Two bars sit across the top of the front. Acetate can be worked into a thicker front without adding visual weight. The pair is built as a sunglass rather than a clear lens frame.
