Built as a semi-rimless clean rectangle shape, the M996 uses stainless steel. Nothing in the sizing is gender-specific. The 55-19-145 figures put the lens at 55 mm with a 19 mm bridge and 145 mm arms. Horizontal lines across the brow read as width on a narrow face.
Half-rim construction holds the lens from the upper edge. Nothing extra crosses the top of the front. The wire rim holds the lens with less material around it.
