The SpyOptic Vaughn Large 573488 prescription eyeglasses bring bold rectangular style to everyday wear. This is the large-fit version of SpyOptic’s popular Vaughn frame, designed for those who need a 56mm lens width and generous coverage. The flat-top rectangular shape delivers a confident, masculine look that works equally well in the office or off-duty.
These frames are cut from handmade cellulose acetate, a plant-based material that’s stronger and more flexible than standard injection-molded plastic. Acetate is built in layers, which gives it depth, durability, and resistance to cracking over time. The matte black and glossy black finishes maintain their color without fading or chipping, even with daily wear. At 56-17-150mm, the Vaughn Large fits wider faces comfortably and accommodates progressive or bifocal lenses without issue.
High-quality spring hinges are built into the temples, allowing the arms to flex outward beyond the standard 90-degree angle. This means the frame adjusts to your head rather than pinching it. Spring hinges reduce pressure on the temples, prevent headaches during extended wear, and make the frame far more resistant to accidental damage. If you’ve ever snapped a pair of glasses by opening them too wide, you’ll appreciate the added give.
The Vaughn Large is fully prescription-ready and ships with demo lenses that can be replaced with your single-vision, progressive, or bifocal prescription. The full-rim design secures lenses firmly, and the 17mm bridge provides a stable, balanced fit. Available in matte black (374000) and glossy black (038000), both colorways pair with the signature SPY logo detail on the temples. Free shipping and lens upgrade options are available at checkout.
