The Smith Optics Metals Suncloud 240536 Patrol Sunglasses deliver classic aviator style in a smaller, more versatile fit. Built with a lightweight metal alloy double-bridge frame and polarized polycarbonate lenses, the Patrol is designed for people who want the iconic aviator look without the oversized proportions that dominate many faces.
The Patrol features a 60mm lens width and medium fit profile—noticeably smaller than standard aviators. This makes them ideal for narrow to average face shapes, and they’re particularly popular among women and younger wearers who struggle with traditional aviator sizing. The 8-base lens curvature creates a subtle wrap that improves side coverage without looking overly sporty, while spring hinges and adjustable silicone nose pads ensure a secure, comfortable fit during active wear.
Every Patrol lens is injection-molded from optical-grade polycarbonate with integrated polarization that cuts glare from water, snow, and pavement. The lenses provide 100% UVA/UVB/UVC protection and are highly impact-resistant—light enough for all-day wear but tough enough to handle real use. Available in polarized gray (neutral color transmission) and polarized brown (enhanced contrast), the lenses deliver clear, distortion-free optics at a fraction of the cost of premium brands.
The Patrol is prescription-ready, so you can add your Rx lenses for everyday functionality. Each pair includes a microfiber cleaning bag and is backed by Suncloud’s lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Whether you’re driving, fishing, or just need reliable sun protection that fits properly, the Patrol offers proven performance without the premium price tag.
