The Ray-Ban Wayfarer 5121F brings seven decades of design history to your prescription eyewear. First introduced in 1952, the Wayfarer broke from traditional metal frames and pioneered the use of molded acetate—a move that shifted eyewear from pure function to cultural statement. Worn by James Dean, Buddy Holly, and generations since, this square horn-rimmed shape remains one of the most recognized frame designs in the world.
The 5121F carries the same bold, angular geometry as the classic RB2140 sunglasses, but it’s purpose-built for prescription use. The full-rim acetate frame is lightweight yet durable, and the material is hypoallergenic—ideal for all-day wear. Integrated flex hinges provide a comfortable, adaptive fit across different head sizes without pinching or slipping.
This model features an alternate fit profile (the “F” designation), which means a lower nose bridge and slightly modified frame angles. That makes the 5121F particularly well-suited for wearers with higher cheekbones or a flatter nose bridge—it sits properly without sliding down or resting on your cheeks.
The Wayfarer’s square shape works best on round or oval faces, where the angular lines add definition and balance softer features. Available in six finishes—from classic shiny black and dark Havana tortoise to modern photo-striped options in blue, brown, light blue, and grey—the 5121F adapts to your style. The 50mm lens width and 150mm temple length deliver a medium fit that works for most adults.
These frames accept single-vision, progressive, and bifocal prescription lenses. The full-rim construction provides a stable platform for higher prescriptions, and the acetate material can be heat-adjusted by an optician for a truly custom fit. Ray-Ban’s signature logo appears on both temples, finished with metal rivets that nod to the brand’s original 1950s design.
If you need prescription eyeglasses that don’t look like an afterthought—frames with real heritage and a shape that’s proven itself across eight decades—the Wayfarer 5121F delivers.
