The Ray-Ban RB5245 eyeglasses deliver a clean, modern square shape in durable acetate construction. These prescription-ready frames feature sharp angles and a full-rim design that works well for round or oval face shapes, offering definition without bulk.
Spring hinges set the RB5245 apart from basic frames. The flexible hinge mechanism allows the temples to extend beyond the standard 90-degree angle, self-adjusting to your head size and reducing pressure on your temples. You won’t get the pinching or headaches that rigid hinges can cause after hours of wear. The acetate temples are lightweight yet sturdy, and the 54mm lens width provides enough vertical space for progressive or bifocal prescriptions.
Available in multiple finishes including the Black on Transparent (color 2034), these frames show a polished acetate construction with clean lines and a standard bridge. The Ray-Ban logo appears subtly on the temples. Measurements are 54-17-145mm (lens width, bridge, temple length), fitting average to slightly wider faces comfortably.
“I’ve bought 3 of these frames for the past 6 years.” — FramesDirect customer review
Owners consistently mention the comfortable fit and quality build. The spring hinges prove their worth over time—frames stay aligned and don’t loosen easily. These are prescription-ready frames compatible with single vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses, making them versatile for different vision needs.
Ray-Ban has manufactured eyewear since 1937, and the RB5245 reflects that experience: straightforward design, solid materials, and features that actually improve daily wear. If you need square frames that fit well and last, these deliver without fuss.
