The Prada Linea Rossa 51VS sunglasses bring sport-inspired design to everyday wear. This pillow-shaped frame features a double-bridge metal construction in stainless steel, offered in soft-touch rubber or matte finishes that feel premium in hand. The slightly wrapped silhouette provides excellent coverage while the adjustable nosepads ensure a secure, customized fit for all-day comfort.
Available in five distinct colors—from classic black rubber with polarized grey lenses to gunmetal with polarized brown mirror gradient—each variant includes multilayer sun lenses that deliver 100% UV protection. The polarized options cut glare without sacrificing color accuracy, making them ideal for driving and outdoor activities. Nylon temples with rubber accents keep the frames light (despite the metal front) and prevent slipping during movement.
Prada Linea Rossa launched in the 1990s as the Italian house’s performance eyewear line. The red stripe on each temple connects to Prada’s Luna Rossa sailing team, where the brand applied technical materials and precision engineering to sportswear. These frames combine that functional approach with Prada’s established craftsmanship.
The 51VS works best on round, oval, heart-shaped, and diamond-shaped faces. At 62-14-140mm (also available in 59mm lens width), it’s a medium-to-large fit that covers more of the face without feeling oversized. The pillow shape—softer than a strict rectangle but more structured than a classic aviator—strikes a versatile middle ground that transitions from the gym to the city. Accepts prescription lenses including single vision, bifocal, or progressive, so you’re not limited to sun lenses only.
