The Oakley Socket 5.0 3217 prescription eyeglasses bring Oakley’s sports DNA into a refined rectangular frame you can wear anywhere. Built from lightweight C-5 alloy—a five-metal compound engineered for strength and flexibility—these full-rim frames deliver the durability Oakley is known for without the weight.
The Socket 5.0 pays tribute to Oakley’s industrial design roots. Look closely at the bottom of the lens orbitals and you’ll see swept angles inspired by the chamfers on a socket wrench—subtle detailing that adds dimension to an otherwise clean silhouette. The rectangular shape works well on round or oval faces, and the full-rim construction makes these frames compatible with progressive and bifocal lenses.
Oakley’s Three-Point Fit system holds the frame at exactly three contact points: the bridge and both temples. This reduces pressure and keeps your lenses in precise optical alignment throughout the day. Integrated spring hinges flex to accommodate different head shapes, while Unobtainium earsocks and adjustable silicone nosepads ensure a secure grip that actually improves when you sweat—a feature borrowed from Oakley’s performance eyewear.
These frames are prescription-ready and available in 53mm, 55mm, and 57mm eye sizes to fit a range of face widths. The metal construction allows for easy adjustments by an optician. Multiple color options—from classic satin black and pewter to brushed chrome and navy—let you match your style.
Each pair ships with an Oakley protective case. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense prescription frame that can handle daily wear without sacrificing Oakley’s engineering standards, the Socket 5.0 delivers.
