Built as a full-rim square shape, the GVX590 uses stainless steel. The fit is cut for adult men. At 54-17-140, the lens measures 54 mm, the bridge 17 mm and the temples 140 mm. Straight edges keep the face reading angular.
The front is framed all the way around. Nothing extra crosses the top of the front. The wire rim holds the lens with less material around it. The colourway is Navy/Matte Gunmetal (colour code NVMTTGNMTL).
