Every Peli frame ships with Costa’s polarized 580 lenses, available in both 580G glass and 580P polycarbonate. The 580 technology blocks yellow light at 580 nanometers on the visible spectrum, naturally boosting reds, greens, and blues for sharper contrast and color definition. It also absorbs harmful high-energy visible (HEV) blue light linked to eye fatigue and long-term damage, while providing 100% UV protection.
Choose 580G glass lenses for superior optical clarity and scratch resistance—they’re 20% thinner and 22% lighter than standard polarized glass. The 580P polycarbonate option delivers the same color-enhancing performance in a lighter, impact-resistant package, ideal for active use. Both lens types feature Costa’s C-Wall coating, a molecular bond that resists scratches and repels water, oil, and sweat for easy cleaning on the boat or trail.
The Peli’s full-rim metal frame is made from Monel, a corrosion-resistant alloy used in marine applications. It stands up to saltwater, sweat, and sun without corroding or losing its finish.
