The CA8846 is a half-rim rectangular frame in stainless steel. The fit is cut for adult men. The 56-19-145 figures put the lens at 56 mm with a 19 mm bridge and 145 mm arms. Angular corners give a rounder face a firmer edge.
A nylon cord carries the lower half of the lens. Nothing extra crosses the top of the front. A metal front reads lighter than a plastic one at the same width.
