The Elasta 7201 Eyeglasses bring classic pilot styling to everyday prescription eyewear. These full-rim metal frames feature a distinctive double bridge design and stainless steel construction that balances durability with all-day comfort. Available in Light Brown and Ruthenium finishes, the 7201 offers three lens sizes—55mm, 57mm, and 59mm—to fit a range of face widths.
The frames are made from stainless steel, an alloy prized for its resistance to corrosion, rust, and tarnishing. This material stays lightweight on your face while delivering the structural strength needed for daily wear. The 17mm bridge sits comfortably on most nose shapes, and the full-rim design secures your prescription lenses firmly in place. Temple lengths range from 140mm to 150mm depending on lens size, ensuring a secure fit behind the ears.
The Elasta 7201 is fully compatible with prescription lenses, including single-vision, bifocal, and progressive options. The pilot shape provides generous vertical lens height—particularly useful if you wear progressives, as the taller lens allows proper placement of distance and reading zones. The adjustable nose pads (common in metal aviators) let you fine-tune the fit, which helps keep progressive lenses aligned with your natural line of sight.
Elasta is a house brand of Safilo Group, the Italian eyewear manufacturer founded in 1934. The brand targets mature men and women (ages 45 and older) who want reliable, conservative frames that accommodate progressive lenses. If you’re looking for a no-fuss pilot frame with a professional look and a price under $100, the 7201 delivers. The stainless steel construction offers an affordable alternative to titanium while still providing corrosion resistance and a polished appearance that won’t discolor over time.
