The Smith Optics Elite Operator’s Choice Elite Sunglasses deliver military-grade eye protection without compromising optical clarity. Built on the foundation of Smith’s iconic Guide’s Choice frame and re-engineered to meet demanding MIL-PRF-31013 ballistic standards and ANSI Z87.1 high-velocity impact requirements, these tactical sunglasses are designed for operators, law enforcement, competitive shooters, and outdoor professionals who need serious protection in high-stakes environments.
What sets the Operator’s Choice Elite apart is the combination of ballistic-rated protection and Smith’s proprietary ChromaPop+ polarized lens technology. These carbonic lenses don’t just meet safety standards—they enhance your visual performance. ChromaPop+ filters specific wavelengths of light that cause color confusion, delivering sharper natural color, improved contrast, and greater clarity when scanning environments. The polarization cuts glare from reflective surfaces like water, pavement, and vehicle windshields, while the anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings keep your vision clear in demanding conditions.
The lenses provide complete 100% UVA/UVB/UVC protection and are impact-resistant enough to stop high-velocity projectiles and fragmentation—critical for tactical applications, shooting sports, and any situation where eye safety can’t be compromised.
The nylon frame features an 8-base wraparound curve that provides excellent coverage and a secure fit. Hydrophilic Megol nose and temple pads ensure the sunglasses stay in place even during intense activity or in hot, sweaty conditions—whether you’re at the range, on patrol, or in the field. The rectangle frame shape offers a low-profile, low-visibility look suitable for tactical operations while providing ample lens coverage.
Available in multiple lens options including Gray, Polarized Gray, and ChromaPop+ Elite Polarized Bronze Mirror and Blue Mirror, the Operator’s Choice Elite adapts to different lighting conditions and mission requirements. Frame colors include Matte Black and Tan 499, both designed for tactical discretion.
These sunglasses are prescription-compatible, making them an excellent choice for operators who require corrective lenses. Smith offers prescription adapter inserts that maintain the ballistic rating, so you don’t have to choose between clear vision and protection.
The Smith Optics Elite Operator’s Choice Elite Sunglasses represent the intersection of tactical performance and optical innovation—trusted protection for those who operate in demanding conditions.
