The DB4K React line was named a Fast Company World-Changing Idea, and the HOOPLA model shows why. The frames are constructed from BPA-free, latex-free Pebax® Rnew®, a hypoallergenic thermoplastic elastomer that’s extremely lightweight yet impact-resistant. The signature fused crinkle hinge combines strength and flexibility without exposed screws that can loosen or break. Ergonomic temples hug the head to keep glasses secure during sports and play, and each pair includes a color-coordinated removable headstrap for extra security.
Unlike many flexible kids’ frames, React eyeglasses can be heated for lens insertion and adjustments, making them optician-friendly and ensuring a proper fit as your child grows. Available in sizes 42 and 44, with a 15mm bridge and temple lengths of 120-125mm, the HOOPLA fits a wide range of face shapes and ages.
Pebax® Rnew® is made from castor beans that absorb atmospheric CO2 while they grow, require minimal irrigation, and don’t contribute to deforestation. The material supports independent family farms in India’s Gujarat region through sustainable farming programs. It’s a genuinely eco-friendly option that doesn’t compromise on performance—these frames are built to last through years of wear.
The HOOPLA’s round shape offers a classic, unisex look that works for boys and girls. The full-rim acetate construction accepts prescription lenses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Polycarbonate or Trivex lenses are recommended for kids—both offer built-in UV protection and impact resistance. The frames come in three fun colorways: Navy/Sailor (deep navy with bright blue temples), Shadow/Blue (gray front with blue temples), and Bubblegum (vibrant pink).
