The Persol 3019S sunglasses bring together Italian design and functional engineering in a square frame that works particularly well for smaller to medium face shapes. Made in Italy from acetate, these frames feature the distinctive keyhole bridge and Persol’s signature Supreme Arrow hinges—details that have defined the brand since 1917.
The temples incorporate Persol’s patented Meflecto system, a flexible stem technology introduced in the late 1930s. Small metal or nylon cylinders are inserted into the acetate temples and intersected with a flexible steel core, allowing the frame to adapt to your head shape without creating pressure points. The temples flex and return to their original position rather than loosening over time. You’ll see the Meflecto markers—two subtle lines on each temple—that indicate this engineering.
Available in 52mm and 55mm lens widths, the 3019S runs narrower than many Persol models, making it a good option if you typically find standard frames too wide. The full-rim acetate construction is lightweight yet durable, and the single-bridge design with keyhole cutout adds vintage character. Lenses are CR-39 plastic, providing 100% UV protection and available in several tints including classic green, blue, and gradient options depending on the color you choose.
