The Persol 3189V Eyeglasses bring Italian craftsmanship and modern comfort together in a refined square frame. Built from premium acetate with clean lines and a structured silhouette, these prescription-ready frames suit professionals and eyewear enthusiasts who value both style and substance.
The 3189V features Persol’s patented Meflecto flexible temple system, a technology the brand has refined since the 1930s. Unlike standard hinges, the Meflecto design incorporates a flexible metal core within the temple arms that bends slightly to distribute pressure evenly across your head. This means the frames adapt to your face shape rather than forcing your face to adapt to the frames—reducing pressure points during all-day wear. The system also includes spring hinges for additional lateral flexibility, making these frames particularly comfortable for extended use at the office or behind the wheel.
Each frame is handcrafted in Italy from cellulose acetate, a cotton-derived material prized for its durability, rich color depth, and hypoallergenic properties. The full-rim construction provides maximum stability for your prescription lenses, while the saddle bridge—molded without separate nose pads—offers a sleek profile and secure fit. Available in six distinctive colors including classic Havana tortoise, matte black, striped blue, and gradient grey-green patterns, the 3189V comes in two sizes: 53mm and 55mm eye width, both with 18mm bridge and 145mm temples.
The 3189V accepts single-vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses, making it a practical choice whether you need distance correction, reading support, or multifocal functionality. The generous lens height accommodates progressive corridors without compromise. These frames ship with demo lenses that your optician will replace with your prescription.
