Built as a full-rim rectangular shape, the MANEL uses acetate. Sizing targets an adult male face. The 51-20-148 figures put the lens at 51 mm with a 20 mm bridge and 148 mm arms. Angular corners give a rounder face a firmer edge.
The front is framed all the way around. A single bar runs across the nose. Acetate can be worked into a thicker front without adding visual weight. Finish: Green.
