The R226 is a full rim rectangular frame in acetate. Sizing works for either face. The 56-16-140 figures put the lens at 56 mm with a 16 mm bridge and 140 mm arms. The straight top and bottom lines cut against a rounder face.
The front is framed all the way around. Nothing extra crosses the top of the front. Acetate takes colour through the material rather than on top of it.
