The FT1209 is a full rim teardrop pilot frame in cellulose acetate. Sizing targets an adult male face. At 56-14-145, the lens measures 56 mm, the bridge 14 mm and the temples 145 mm. The tapered bottom gives a long face a stopping point.
A full rim holds the lens on all four sides. The double bridge leaves a gap between the bars. Acetate can be worked into a thicker front without adding visual weight. The pair is built as a sunglass rather than a clear lens frame.
The colourway is Shiny Black (colour code 01A).
