The Ray-Ban Kids 0RY1536 Eyeglasses are prescription-ready frames designed for young wearers aged 7-10. These frames feature a classic square shape in acetate construction, built to handle the demands of school, play, and daily wear.
Ray-Ban Junior frames use the same high-grade acetate materials found in adult models. Acetate is a plant-based plastic known for its durability and flexibility, making it well-suited for children’s eyewear. The full-rim design provides structural integrity, while the lightweight acetate keeps the frames comfortable for all-day wear. Available in 12 colors—from classic Havana and Black to eye-catching Orange, Azure, and Violet—these frames offer variety without sacrificing function.
The RY1536 comes in two sizes: 46-16-125mm and 48-16-130mm, with the lens width scaled down to fit smaller faces properly. Proper fit matters for kids’ glasses—frames that are too large can slide down the nose and misalign the optical center, while too-small frames cause discomfort and pressure points.
These frames ship with clear demo lenses that your optician will replace with your child’s prescription lenses. The square shape works well for a range of prescriptions and helps balance rounded facial features. Parents can add impact-resistant polycarbonate or Trivex lenses for extra durability, anti-reflective coatings to reduce glare from screens and classroom lighting, and UV protection for outdoor activities.
“These are the cutest glasses for my son! They fit him perfectly and he loves them!!” — Designer Optics customer
The single-bridge design and acetate temple tips ensure comfort behind the ears, even during extended wear. Each pair includes a Ray-Ban case and cleaning cloth to protect the frames from scratches and damage when not in use.
